Privacy & cookies

Updated October 4, 2026

This page describes how Daily Play uses browser storage and information when you play FIRST, PERCENT, and EITHER.

Your games and progress

We use browser storage to remember your FIRST progress and light or dark theme. An essential cookie, daily_play_guest, assigns your browser a random identifier so we can save answers, scores, daily completions, and streaks on our servers. It lasts up to one year and is renewed when needed. You can play without creating an account.

Game results are used to calculate aggregate community statistics. Clearing your browser cookies or storage can disconnect you from saved progress; it does not automatically erase records already stored on our servers.

Site activity

We count visible browser page loads on the hub and games, and whether a page receives a click, keypress, or scroll. Each page load gets a random reference held in memory, without an analytics cookie or browser-storage identifier. These records contain only the page name, date, time, and interaction flag. We do not save IP addresses, referrer URLs, or browser details in this activity database. We use a rolling 90-day activity window and remove older page-load records as new activity arrives.

Our private owner dashboard shows aggregate visits and gameplay statistics. Gameplay counts use the existing game identifier and saved answers or completions; starting FIRST can also be recorded against that game identifier. Known automated visitors and signed-in owner page loads are excluded from new visit counts. We skip this optional activity tracking when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Hosting providers may maintain separate request statistics.

Advertising

Daily Play uses Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google and its partners may receive information such as your IP address, browser information, identifiers, and ad interactions.

Where a consent message is shown, you can accept, reject, or manage the available choices. You can reopen Google’s message using “Privacy choices” at the bottom of a game or the hub when it is available. Consent choices affect advertising; they do not change your score.

Read how Google uses information from partner sites and its privacy policy. You can manage personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center, or visit YourAdChoices for participating third-party advertising vendors. The consent message lists participating vendors and their policies.

Hosting, images, and owner access

Our hosting providers process network requests needed to deliver and secure the site. Some pictures are served from external image providers, which receive the request information needed to deliver them. Owner sign-in verifies the signed-in identity to restrict access to editing tools.

Browser controls

Your browser lets you remove stored cookies and site data and control third-party cookies. Blocking essential storage may prevent progress from being remembered. Google’s privacy controls and any applicable consent message provide separate controls for advertising data.
